Here is my review of the “DANIU 30M Laser Rangefinder Anti-fall Steel Tape High Precision Infrared Digital Laser Distance Meter Measure Distance Tool Tape” which I was lucky enough to win in the Banggood "Free Trial" section.
The stainless steel tape has a curve to it that really supports the tape when you are using it. It is also very clear and easy to read even from a distance. The tape that I received is marked in CMs. Like most tape measures this one has a tape lock to lock the tape off and allows you to recover the tape measure by releasing the lock. It is 5 metres long, which is good enough for 99% of measuring jobs.
And now to the real reason that people want this tape measure, "The Laser". The laser is just fantastic and I was very impressed with it. The laser included with this tape measure is super accurate (0.001M) and consistent too. The good news is that the laser readout is displayed in Metres, Inches or Feet, so everyone should be happy with that. The laser beam itself is invisible, but where the beam strikes a surface, it is very clear to see with a bright red dot. The range of the laser is 30 Metres.
The Display Screen is very clear and easy to read with a bright back-light meaning it is easy to read and make measurements. The laser automatically switches itself off after 15 seconds and the tape measure switches itself off after 45 seconds if not in use. It comes complete with a built in battery to power the laser and display; and the even better news is that this is a Rechargeable lithium ion battery. It is charged via the on-board Micro USB socket. It even comes complete with a Micro USB cable in the box.
The wavelength of the laser is 620-670nm and the power output is < 1 mW. It is safe to use, but never shine any laser into your or anyone else’s eyes as this will do damage.
I love this tape measure and it is my new favourite tool. It is much better than I thought it would be and I am glad that I won the chance to review it for Banggood.
