The wall clock is as described. It serves the intended purpose well and is clearly visible (as hoped) without glasses. The remote sets up the functions quickly, although if you wait to read the instructions it will time out. Plan before you start. The auto dimming functions well, but prepare your self for a "night light" at even the lowest setting. The display can be turned off from the remote if desired which is marked by a short beep. Losing power is not an issue with the supplied battery. Having an old usb phone charger handy (check your disused electronics drawer. We all have one...) as the clock doesn't have a power supply (this is stated in the description, so no surprises). 5v 1A (1000ma) works fine. The temperature display is accurate to others in the house. I have no intention on testing the alarm or timer. The clock is fine for it's purpose.
