these straps are as specified. the clasps look like dye cast aluminium. the clasps are not overly strong but lock ok. it is advisable to tie the strap off to back up the clasp. the sawing on the webbing is not the best. these are my second set I've bought after getting 3m straps as those straps go from side to side but are a little short to go round loads on my roof rack. these 5m straps are sufficient for all but the biggest loads. I am very happy. I would say again on all these straps back tie the ends if the clasp fails the load will stay attached.

The straps material seems enough powerful. The buckle is some type of alloy.
The bag is useful to store where not in use.
I test it with no problem but I have tie the ends as one reviewer suggest for more safety.
So I am very happy with the product.
