Pencil, graphite is the only lubricant for connections of this item, you can rub a pencil a bit on the outside of the connections. Please don"t use oil for lubricant. Oil will become a oil-dirt when put this item in air. That makes friction bigger, and finally stirling engine can"t run freely.
