Out of the box the foot was not aligned flush with the body so the bevel in the foot would register first. Fortunately the foot his affixed with two 2.5 hex screws. Loosten those, register the entire surface to your tablesaw table, and re-tighten. Once I did that it registered perfectly flush with a Starrett combo square and that's good enough for me. Well made, hefty steel, does what I need it to do.
