These tools, with the inserts provided, have performed very nicely in 4140 steel.

Also leaves a nice finish on 6061 aluminium on the OD, though facing cuts appeared rough so HSS or higher rake inserts may be required for finishing in aluminium

The SCMCN tool does a good job of edge breaking in both steel and aluminium.

In the photo, the turning tools left this finish in an 8mm OD. The thread is from another tool I reviewed separately.
