I bread boarded an avalanche pulse generator using a 2N3904. After setting the PP-150 probe to 10x and adjusting the trim on my Rigol DS1054 I then connecting the probe to the output of the avalanche pulse generator. With the PP-150 probe I measure rise times in the range of 2.2ns. Using the equation ‘Bandwidth (Hz) = 0.35/rise time(s)’ I measure a bandwidth of 159MHz. It’s always good when you get more that you were expecting. This probe will be adequate for my 60MHz Tektronix 2213. I would buy again.
