I was VERY DISAPPOINTED with the Condition of the Box this Unit arrived in. It looks like it had been REPAIRED using Clear Sticky Tape before being Bundled Up with some Other Items, and then Wrapped in a Plastic Bag WITH NO ADDITIONAL PADDING !
The Packege had been CRUSHED DURING TRANSIT, leaving the Meter's Retail Box IN AN AWFUL MESS.
I have complaind to Banggood before about the LACK of ADEQUATE PADDING around Fragile Items.

Thankfully the Meter itself didn't suffer any Damage, and it's a REALLY NEAT UNIT offering ALL the Functions an Engineer, Technician, or Serious Hobbyist might require.
It offers TRUE RMS (as is virtually essential) and a 4000 Count Display, which is Clear and Easy to read in normal Outdoors or Room Lighting. It has a Good Backlight and 2 small LEDs can be Turned On to help you find the right wires in Dark Places.
Like ALL "SMART" or "AUTO DETECTING" DMM's it needs a certain amount of Signal to be present in order to know what it is supposed to be Measuring. the M117 has the facilty for you to select the parameter you want to measure, thereby allowing it to read Much Smaller Signals.
The Meter is quite small, easily fitting in One Hand, but NOT so small that the Display or Controls are Cramped or Compromised in any way.
It requires the usual 2 x AAA Batteries, and you need a Tiny Pozidrive Screwdriver to open their Compartment.

I Really Like this Meter, but be aware that I am LOOKING for things to Criticise - for the Benefit of Possible Buyers with Specific Needs.
The NON CONTACT LIVE WIRE / CIRCUIT DETECTOR is NOT the Most Sensitive and is NOTHING like the last Meter from FNISRI that I reviewed. (but that one was BY FAR the Most Sensitive I've come across).
Also, there is no Pull Out Support on the back of the Unit that would hold the Meter at an Angle for Easier Viewing on a Test Bench.

The Meter is quite Light in Weight and it has a Soft Casing to Absorb Shocks, so it should stand Knocks and Small Drops without suffering Any Damage.
