How to use the probe?
The receiver probe is made from coiled steel and can be bent as needed to reach wires in congested or hard to reach areas. Depending on the characteristics of the circuit and the sensitivity settings, the Probe will pick up the signal from the wire at different positions. However, for the best possible range, the Receiver Probe Tip (black cap) should be positioned perpendicular (90°) to the wire and either above or below it.
